The colours are not boring, nor is its position (landing approach) ... how much PS work did you apply to bring out the colours like this?
The top feathers are quite a bit blown out, but to me focus, scene as such and background colour compensate that well enough.

I like this a lot. Seagulls are so common yet you captured an aspect that few people really pay attention to. Considering the amount of light on the subject you did a nice job controlling it. nice work.

Thankyou all and yes, miday light again... I did play around with brightness/contrast and hue/saturation, not too much, but just enough to bring some colour out, I think it's the saturation parameter that I have set on my camera that brings out all those colours mostely.
