Upgrading from Sigma 150-600mm contemporary to Canon RF 200-800mm

Obviously it's an extra 200mm but do you notice the extra reach? Can you photograph birds in flight? How does it work with teleconverters?

I did this last year. Huge difference in the reach and you will definitely feel it. The biggest difference is the auto focus. It is ten times faster. It "snaps" onto the subject. Id not use TC because the lens is so slow and tc will make it even worse. The birds are out early and late so for me it is just not feasible.
