Yeah, it's blured to smithereens!! Lol.. I'm desperately trying to learn how to achieve the "painterly" look.. been after that for a bit. However, there is not much at all on this on the internet. You can find out how to build a bomb or cook meth but nothing on a "painterly" effect on a portrait??!!??? Crazy times..

What I'm know that I'm missing is color and color harmony. I have a brown Muslim backdrop that I'm wanting to try out. Its not a $300 dollar canvas one, just a cheap-o from cowboys but I figure with a little Photoshop maybe I can get by.
Any advice is more than welcome.

The way I'm doing it now is I apply a few rounds of noise reduction and then a high pass filter on another.
