I was going to go B&W with these, but they lacked the contrast to pull it off.

2 is pretty good.. little more dof would have been better i think

1 is a too busy for me... my eye keeps roaming trying to determine the subject

Nice depth of field, but the harsh shadows in #1 ruined the shot.

Love number 2 as is, number 1, I couldn't figure out what was going on with the brown red thing. And still don't know what it is, actually. The composition is interesting though, nice lead lines, I think the lighting/shadows did it in though.
