A Couple i took at Sun up this morning. C&C Welcomed.

I really love the cloud formation in the 1st photo but was not sure whether too crop out the sun or not?
I am pretty pleased with #3 because the Monument is pitch black and i find it not an easy subect too photograph.

1. would like to see the rock opened up with more detail - did you shoot it in raw? If you did cut the sun out you'd have a really dark pic. So either way, it needs to be lightened up.

2. nice pic, would like to see either the bird more in focus, or long exposure to glaze the water surface.

3. Really nice. maybe move to the left a little to get all of the lighthouse and none of that sign on the bottom left. Those are a couple places I'd get to regularly if local and play with the scenes. you've got a great start here.

What time of day did you shot number 1.

Earlier in the morning when the sun was between the water and the clouds might have given more color to the underside of the clouds, and would eliminate the questions of whether you should have cropped it out or not.

I like 2. alot and 3. is pretty nice also.
