#2 is adorable. In the first shot I would move your subject farther away from the background, shoot from a slightly lower angle and shoot at a wider aperture to soften the background. It is a little distracting as it is. The little man is a real treasure, looks like a real sweetheart.

I just don't like the first one very much, especially compared to #2. Number two is great. Nice work with the second shot, seriously.

Love #2! Agree with jstuedle's suggestions for #1.

#1 is too busy....the backdrop is very distracting and there is no real 'grab' to the photo...

#2 is fantastic!

What a cutie! I love the second one the first my eyes keep drawing to the bear on the table. Great job though!

I agree, the background on #1 is a bit distracting...but what really bothers me it the over exposure on the table. The boy looks well exposed, so I would think that the solution would be to find a way to get more light on him and/or less light on the rest of the scene.

#2 is great.
