A Couple of 'Almost, but not quite' photos

In this one, I like everything about the way the players are positioned, the face I was able to get, the diving guy, etc. But the background is just too busy and colored the same as the players uniforms, meaning they sort of get pulled into the background (or the background gets pulled in). I felt like this would be a great shot if I had a cleaner background.



If he had just been looking a little bit less to the left so that I didn't get the zombie right eye, argh. Love the lighting and how it catches the sweat, the color, etc.

I played around a bit with a tighter crop of the first one, and didn't like it quite as much. It did take out some of the background issues, but it was A) just noisy enough when cropped that tight to sort of notice and B) you lost a little bit of the 'story of the play' which was the main thing I liked about the original. But you can feel free to play with it some if you'd like.
