Two shots of the Jefferson Monument during a beautiful sunrise. It's amazing what an hour can do for pictures.

1. This picture is made of 5 different exposures. I used Tone Mapping/Detail Enhancer with Photomatix Pro 5.0
ISO 100
5sec
f/11

2. This picture was also made of 5 exposures. However I decided to try and go a different route with the process. This is with Exposure Fusion/Fusion Natural also with Photomatix Pro 5.0
ISO 100
1/10
f/22

I like them both. I think I'm really liking the 2nd one more though.

Tough to pick one as you did a great job on both! You're making me want to get back to DC for some shots!
I can see all the photog's under the trees on the right, you did good keeping them out of your way :)
Is there a big difference in the Pro version and the basic?

Thank you very much Nancy. That's what my idea is when taking pictures to kinda give people an idea of what the Monuments that look like that have never been here. And not just the typical "family" photos
As for Photomatics.. here a chart from their web page.
Features Comparison - Photomatix Pro compared to Photomatix Essentials and plugins for Aperture and Photoshop

It's very unusual for me to like hdr but I really do like these. good job!
