This is our local market. Lots to see there and a great place for people watching. They just installed sky lighting throughout the market, so a great place to photograph.

These are interesting in a wow-that's-not-my local-place kind of way but they suffer from two different issues.
All but the last are fairly unexciting in composition/framing and they are all emotionless.

I suggest you need to be a little more subtle (and sneaky) in catching human interaction.

Thanks for the feedback, well seen. Honestly, it is an emotionless place. Most of the vendors are poverty stricken women in their 70's.

AC, (addressing someone by a type of electrical current seems counter-intuitive but that being said......)

I, as a typical viewer, get lots of clues from, not only the content, but how the color is used to support the image.

I would only show these three, because they can support the impression of emotionless, isolated, unhappiness.

(first, post bigger pictures. you aren't being charged by the pixel. )

Straighten the shelves so that the slant doesn't distract and also to give the appearance of an ordered environment into which this woman, with her hand drawn signs is placed.
Then bring up the black point to give everything that gritty feel that resonates with her unhappy face.

The vendor is swamped by the bright and busy background. Darken the background a lot so she stands out and move her over to the side so she isn't the centerpiece of the picture. (She is 'apart' from the customers; the placement emphasizes that.)

The happy, cheerful dresses and cloth and the unhappy face of the woman; good composition but make the dresses pretty and warm and inviting and leave her to be not those things.

Use the entire picture to make the impression you want.
