I'm sure there was some sort of concept in No. 2, and maybe the clients liked it, but that black strap running through the image is annoying and I don't get it.

When you have the logo where you do in picture number 1 it looks like they are celebrating you. In my opinion it it should be about celebrating their relationship. Id also crop #1 in closer.

Overall I like #2 the best, since it looks candid and intimate.

I'm pretty certain it's not a strap. It's probably support beams for the railing, which would make sense as the railing is fairly prominent closer to the couple.
