A magician never tells her tricks. Lol. Just kidding. The bar that it was on has these glass cubes with blue fluorescent light underneath.

You can do something similar if you have strobist gear and colored gels. Add a colored gel to the front of a off-camera flash and use it to add color to the shot.

I picked up some colored gels and took these test shots. Colored gel on a 580EX II fired against the background wall and a snooted 430EX to light up Marvin from the right.
