The third one looks great!

Thank you. I really don't know how I'm supposed to do B&w conversions. i just messed around with contrast in view nx 2. I think one of these has contrast set to 99, lol.

thanks,

Nice series, but you're not utilizing the 'macro' part of the macro lens! Get in closer! You'll be surprised what you'll find.

Very good finds, Jake. loved them.

But i think the back ground of second image (please number them) is dominating or disturbing a bit

Regards :D

#3 was awesome...it could have easily been just a normal pic...but your shot was the difference maker! nice work.

Yes this is true. I haven't felt anything I've shot in the "macro" range is a keeper yet. I really want need some extesnion tubes to get in real closer than 1:1 to practice some bug portraits. I can't wait for bug hunting this summer! Only a few months away.

Thanks, I agree with the backgrounds(in most of them) are dominating. I went from f2.8-16 and these where the least disturbing. I was just getting a feeling of how this lens would render out of focus highlights. I did number them I believe, maybe its because I centered the numbers.

thanks
