Went to New Brunswick (in Canada - it's a Maritime province) for the holidays. The weather was mostly disappointing, and the landscape wasn't as interesting as I had remembered it to be in the winter, so I had to try pretty hard for some decent images. Flickr compression was nice to provide some weird tonal transitions - the only colour that should be there is the blue tint from split-toning the B&W conversions. Anyway here's what I came up with:
1. an abandoned farmhouse
2. view from the same house
3. pasture
4. same pasture - wind constantly blowing across the fields removes the snow from the center, and it drifts up along fences and tree lines.
5. more drifts
6.
7. view of 'Skiddatle Ridge' - way back, during the american civil war, draft dodgers came to parts of NB from New England and were dubbed 'skiddatlers'.
8. farmland
9. for the most part, I got around on snowshoes haha.
