Wow! That must just suck. Better luck next time. I'm going to Myakka River State Park tomorrow (probably around the same distance away from me) just to scout it out with a friend so I won't be taking the kayak BUT they do have pontoon rides for $20 so maybe some pics tomorrow from the water if it's not too unbearably hot.

I love the hummingbird shot!

We have grosbeaks that come to our feeder but they are the rose-breasted version.
