I like the first one. industrial equipment always seems to work with a hard flash in my opinion. there's a lot of edges that show up when you go this direction

was using an sb600. just low light area, no tripod, and what light there was, was from multiple different sources.

did you bounce the flash or was it directly shot at the subject? Looks like it was directly shot at it, gave unflattering light imo.

plus it was in a basement with 30 ft ceilings so bounce was not an option.
