I was born back there in western Iowa- Sioux City, Cherokee, etc. Went back in my 20s for a couple years. Beautiful country. Lots of baseball caps. Everytime I see corn like that I think of my Grandma- she'd call the stray corn in the soybeans, volunteers, and along the roadside, renegades. I think that's how it went. No matter. Brings back pleasent memories to me. Thanks!
Thanks Yemme, abraxas. I'd never seen Iowa until a few years back. Now I go every fall for a musicians' gathering. It's a very appealing, neighborly place.
Some nice captures of Iowa... You need to come back now that the corn and soybeans are getting ready for harvest. The nice brown colors really can give a nice landscape shot!
