A few more recent BIF's

A few more recent BIF's from a place a like to shoot at. Makra river.

1: Female Mallard duck

2: And the male

3: One you probably won't have is the Paradise duck and in this case the female. I must do up a thread on these colourful ducks one day.

4: Cormorant/Shag blasting through

5: Oops !!

6: And this is what happens when a Cormorant flies too darn close, you cut the rear end off !!

7: A brown backed Gull. I find them more interesting in the markings than a std Gull

8: A low flying brown backed Gull

In fact I'll post up a shot from the river to give an idea why I love it there. Just so peaceful.

These are all very nice. I like that they are very sharp. My only "comment" is that, for me, they are too closely cropped. In the cases that you have here where your birds are flying from right to left, I like to leave a bit more space on the left for the birds to fly into, thus I would place the birds in the right third of each image.

I generally tell others the same thing as well funny enough, I'm a hypocrite

There is nothing to nit about these shots apart from what has already been said above. But I love #5 -- the Oops! one. That was well caught. I have been trying to have catch one of those when we were in Florida but never got one.
