Very nice indeed, the black background works very well, sort of putting it in its environment etc. How did you light it, and did it make the eyes close in shots 2 and 3? And if so why not the same in that cute little raptor in 4?

Thanks for the comments everyone.

As for the lighting, they were just lit with sunlight. The black background is just down to the area that the barn owl was kept in. Also the reason that they were squinting I assume due to the strong sunlight.
