Hey Everyone!

I took a hike through the forest today with my DSLR for the first time, I'm happy with how things turned out for my first foray but definitely can, and want too, improve on these photos a lot - so fire away with any tips and criticisms.

- I'm especially interested in any tips on how too..
-1. get a sharper focus on close up pictures (without having to detach the lens and go macro)
-2. produce a better long shutter speed river photo
-3. Any other comments on composition! :)

Before you release the shutter consider the direction and the quality of the light in a scene.

To make flowing water have a silky blurred look put a 6 to 10 stop ND filter on the lens to cut down how much light is getting in the camera so you can use a tripod and a longer shutter speed.

Please number photos if you post more than 2.
Numbers make it much easier to reference ispecific photos for C&C comments

I think the last one is my favorite, 'cept it's a toad.

Thanks for the tips! I will definitely slow down and think about the quality of the light next time/look into a filter!
Also, my bad I'll make sure to number them next time! :p
