Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hey guys, went out yesterday to test a few lighting setups on my girlfriend, and here's what I came up with. The shots have minimal editing done, and I would like to hear some opinions. Thanks in advance.

#2 is the best if you ask me.

#1 needs the horizon line to be straightened. A crop is necessary because a lot of the extra space in the image isn't helpful at all.

#3 is just a bit boring. Maybe bringing out the pink/purple blooms could really add to this shot.

Great lighting by the way. Awesome pictures!

pretty girl, the lighting looks good to me, composition of 2 and 3 could be better, in 2 the tree looks like it is growing out of her head and I like 3 except for the shoes behind her head

I'd prefer a portrait crop on 3, centered. No need for rules of thirds and all that artsy dead space when the subjects eyes engage the viewer. Shame about the shoe/head condition.

#3 does it for me. The other two photos look to posed, like someone modeling clothes. I like the smile, the much more natural relaxed look. Now your friend is warm, much more than just a pretty face. As for the photo quality...very nice work, but I do not like the blur in the background just above her head in #1.

Looking again at # 3, something bothers me about the shoes. They almost look like a big ribbon. Try cropping them out. Bare feet?

^ they all look posed to me, haha.

I'd say number 2 is my favorite as well. I think 1 doesn't seem as sharp as it should be around her face. Could be my monitor though.

I like them though. Nice work.

Have you tried incorporating some big live oak trees into the photos. Find one of those big low limbs with some grey moss, or even sitting with a big trunk as background. The bark has wonderful texture. Sorry...I am sitting up in cold New England dreaming about the south land.

Nice..

I personally would have taken her out of the shade.
