Liked them all; would have been better if distractions were minimized

I really like number 3, even though it breaks most of the rules the focus on the eyes is spot on and really makes the shot.

Number 1 seems dark/underexposed to me, like the exposure was done for the clouds and not the plane. It would benefit from some fill light IMO. (it could be my monitor here at work though too)

#2 - The background is just too distracting to me.
#4 - Nice but the background is distracting here too, I think it would be better if it was more blurred out
#5 - I like the "instagram" feel and the bright colors are nice. The background is busy but adds context to the portrait.
#6 - I don't really have much to say about it. I'm not in love with it, but it isn't a bad shot.

I like that we can see the pilot in #1. It's to bad your shutter speed was so fast it looks like the propeller wasn't turning.

I see a lot of skating photos that have to much environment, not enough skater.

What other skater in the background? I moved whatever that was in the lower right corner too.
