A Few Small Birds From Today

Nice set. I'm not sure if it's all the rain or what, but we generally see a lot of birds visiting the feeder off our deck, but this year they are few and far between. Even the hummingbirds have forsaken the feeders. We haven't filled them in 2 weeks, normally they suck them dry in days.

Thank you! The hummingbirds here empty our small feeders almost daily. We have 3 that keep them in use when they aren't being run off by the others. I don't feed regular birds in spring/summer/fall because it attracts the black bears.

Wouldn't be good. I haven't seen our neighborhood critters in a few weeks. We've had such an ideal spring/summer so far that their food sources are plentiful enough that they stay in the deeper woods. That's okay with me, the bears I can deal with, but the two cougars, and the panther that roam our valley, scare the crap out of me.
