On another forum not related to photography I started a series of "What is This" for folks to identify. It has become popular with many folks there. The first pic would be a very close shot & then after some guessing another shot backed off & then another until the subject was identified. Here are some of the "first shots" taken with an old Minolta "mc" mount 55mm/1.7 plus extension tubes on my Panasonic G1.
1. frosted corn flake
2. a peppercorn
3. aluminum shavings off a drill bit
4. steel dust on a magnet
5. a rat tail file
All the above were identified, some even on the first pic.
