A Grand Day Afield ~ Me gunning Mate Bill is seen taking pause with a nice trio o' rooster pheasants after a particularly nice hunt we shared yesterday morn. Bill was gunning with a really nice B. Rizzini Sig over and under in .410, a really svelte, lightweight wand. The beautiful wee smoothbore features some really pretty wood and spectacular case coloring on the receiver. British Labrador gun dog ALLIE MAE trainee by your's truly did an outstanding day's work in flushing the birds from cover and retrieving them to hand . Bill's gunning was spot on and the small charges of shot from the sub-gauge shotgun consistently found their mark in dropping the birds ALLIE MAE flushed for us.
