A landscape of St. Marks- C & C

I was really struggling with this shot. I wanted the photo to be recognizable to people who have been there so the lighthouse had to be featured but to my dismay I could not get a single good angle on it without going for a swim. because of this it was difficult for mt to find a defined subject so instead I tried to balance the photo as best I could. Here is the result. I am curious as to what you guys think of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can not get more of the lighthouse without going for a swim, then I understand why you had to get this angle, but only showing 8% of a lighthouse is normally NOT going to work. I dont think it comes close to working in this case because of that and also the colors seem off. Judging on the color of the grass and the fact that the lighthouse is more blue than anything, I'd say you pushed the saturation too far and/or the white balance is off.

Maybe this is a lighthouse that is best to be shot from a boat.
