a "lifer" bird for me...

saw my first lazuli bunting this afternoon at an undeveloped park area this afternoon... not as vivid as i'd hoped, though a good part of that might be due to the dull, flat light. but that just gives me an excuse to go back on a brighter day, right??

Nice captures. I think the last one is my favourite - always nice to see birds "communicating".

thanks, all! i've been told this may be a 1st-year bird, and just coming into his full adult plumage... hopefully that means when i see him next he'll be even brighter and more colorful!
