a little help here

okay so i have this shot........

if you notice on the second lightpost there is no shade therefore creating a luminous glow ....... is there any way to get that glow to stick out a little bit more.... my night photog skills arent the greatest.... especially seeing as glows like that are NEVER what i want ...... i just dont want to overexpose when it comes to that

You could use a "star" or "cross screen" filter which should both do what you are after.
