Photos NOT OK to edit

So I went out last weekend to photograph a specific street scene I had in mind.
I visited the location twice that day, hoping to catch it in the right light, but the sun had decided to stay hidden behind the clouds. No matter how long I waited, the conditions just weren't there, and the image I had envisioned never materialized.

A little disappointed, I decided to take a different route home. Along a small path through nature, I suddenly noticed this tiny raindrop hanging from a leaf.
Funny how things work out sometimes. You set out looking for one photograph and come home with another.

Anyway... it's shot with a regular 50mm on a crop frame Nikon DSLR.
I cropped out the image so it looks like a macro... but in fact I regretted I didn't have my macro filter with me, otherwise it would have been a much better photo I guess.
After shooting multiple shots on manual mode, nothing came out good the way I wanted, so I went to the themed settings and chose for macro on the camera, it used a flash (hence the white dot in the raindrop).
If you don't know how the photo was taken, do you still think it's okay?
