Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Im new to digital photography but have dabbled with just a point and shoot camera for years, i have a samsung P1000 ( iknow v basic).
I recently went to Brugge and tried my hand at taking some pictures in a church there, this is one that i found a bit unusual when i uploaded them onto my comp.
My dad calls it 'The Miracle' ha ha
But what logically can cause this type of orb or marking on a photo??

Seriously though, I think it's lens flare. I only say that because of the secondary 'miracle' visible in the top left-hand side of the frame.

I think it's an image of one of the lens elements that is being illuminated by glancing light...do you see the small, brownish, sort of "view-through-a-microscope" nature of the details in the round orb? And see the faint blue line around the edges of the circle? It is perfectly, perfectly round, and most lens diaphragms or lens apertures are made upo of multiple leaves or blades, so it really makes me think this was caused by one of the internal lens elements being struck by light at an angle, and causing this defect. it could, I suppose also be what i called a "ghost"; not in the spiritual sense, but in the optical term of ghost, which is a reflection of the lens's aperture on the picture area. Ghosts are pretty common. Ghosting often shows up most when the field is mostly dark, and there is a light source either in the photo, or off to the side of the lens...

If this is a cell phone type camera or something that has a built-in type of filter and a very small, flat, round lens front, it is almost definitely a "ghost". or reflection caused by light striking the lens at an angle; the angular light illuminates the FLAT FRONT of abuilt-in filter or protective lens, meanwhile the remainder of the scene is formed by light bouncing off of the stuff that's right in front of the lens...

wowsers didnt expect this many comments lol
The image uive out up is the original non edited image, that just how it came out on camera.
I used just ma usual samsung P1000. Id seen orbs and things like that before but nothing like this with the blur colour and detail in it.
Makes sense about the lens thing though although you try tellin mi dad that!!!! You'll have to excuse my lack of technical terms etc i am totally new to this lol. But was up till midnight on here lookin at photos and reading stuff, its really interesting,
i have loads of photos so any that i think are half decent i'll put on.
Keep you comments comming on 'The Miracle'
