I think 2 is the best. 1 has a very nice composition and lighting, but the relection on his glasses is distracting. 3 is too dark and the smoke and relfection obsure his face too much. The effect gives a great mood to these shots. The composition of 2 is excelent, the lighting is good, it is clear enough to see his expression, yet noisy enough to provide the mood. I also really like how you can see though his glasses to his eye.

Is the noise a result of the expired film, or did you apply that yourself?

I think the noise/grain really add a neato effect to these images. make the mood look more thoughtful or contemplative, especially in number 2.

That's a bold statement Alpha, and i respect your work and your opinion. However, you will very rarely find pictures of me. Not my thing. Haha, so maybe a little bit overdone with the model? This was my first time actually doing something like this (just got the film back) so i still have alot to learn.

I like their atmosphere, the overall effect.
But the 2nd and the 3rd lack of the spontaneous feel that usually this kind of pics have.
