as far as the black border...i did it in photoshop. i had the original image and then i increased the canvas size by 40 pixels with a black background. its pretty simple (if you have photoshop).

If you dont have Photoshop...
There's a freeware program out there almost exactly like Photoshop. its called GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program).
