Caught these just before they suddenly went to roost under the pier, disappearing completely in a matter of seconds.

Very nice shot, heard starlings on are on a rapid decline with less than 50% now of the numbers in just the 90s so good to capture these events while still able.

Nice catch! When I see an English beach scene like this I always hear The Who's Quadrophenia start up in my head.

Wobe, so much is endangered. We're heading towards Spring. At one time, the garden would hum with insects, Hoverflies in particular but for about the past three years, I have only seen the odd one or two. The same is true of butterflies.
