The composition is fine, but the HDR takes away from the needed shade under the brush umbrella, even viewed against black. A single exposure shot might emphasize the light past the shade and allow the eye to lead into the photograph better.

To be honest, there was not a lot of shade anyway, it was a very overcast day, taken in the early afternoon, so it was very bright and well diffused.
