A question about that light around my dogs head

What caued this, is it vignette, or just light reflect

Looks like some rimlighting... maybe a window, or some other lightsource?

From the looks of it, behind the dog is a door with a window. You used flash to front-light (can be seen in the reflections in the hair, and the catchlight in the dog's eye), and the light spilling in from the door window provided a sort of rim light. I suspect that the slightly purplish glow is actually lens flare from the door window light. If you had a lens hood you may have blocked that light from entering the lens and the flare would have been minimized.
