A real Wild One...Wild One!

[Bend The Light]

Was driving out through the local woods when we saw a bird in the road which took off as we approached. Looked "raptor-ish" so I slowed and watched it. It stopped in a tree directly opposite my car. Fortunately I was on the way to the studio and had the camera in the car!

Wound the window down and started shooting. When he looked away i made mouse sounds ( ) and he looked straight at me...

...a Little Owl.

My first wild raptor/BoP. Very pleased.

Love them! I do so wish, however, that we had the soundtrack of you making "mouse noises" to go along with the photos.

Nice shots, BTL!

Ha ha, yes. Sort of a pursed lip squeaking sort of thing.

Nice shots, BTL!

Thank you.

I love the 2nd one.......he has a "what kinda noise is that supposed to be?" look to his face!

Ditto on hearing the moose sounds.

Neat shots! #2's my fav., due to the ??-expression!

It isn't possible to type the mouse sounds on an internet forum, however, if you do the traditional "here kitty" sort of thing with pursed lips, you wouldn't be far wrong. It worked though, eh?

That'd be MOUSE, not MOOSE. Slight difference, and one doesn't live in the UK.

Cheers.

Perhaps owls like moose...

[PixelRabbit]

Nice captures!
Oddly enough a moose and mouse sounds aren't all that different from each other lol maybe you did a moose by accident hence puzzling him lol

Lol that lady in the background of that moose video must really like moose! Lmao!
I'll see if I can find one without the moose love in the background teehee.

Nice set. Nothing like being prepared.
