a snapshot with a makeshift "beauty light"

My husband made me a makeshift UGLY beauty light. So I made him happy and took a few snapshots, the difference is crazy, the light is so much softer and it brings out more of the natural colors in the pic. The first one is with the Pie Tin attached and the second is just the pop up flash. Tell me what you think, he wants to make it better so it doesn't look like I am wanting to roast a turkey every time I use it, LOL They are just snapshots not quality portraits
