She was trying to catch a drone fly for lunch…Unsuccessfully...

These shots are of another spider a couple of flowers over. At least I think these were the same day, it was last year.

The happy little drone fly gathers nectar, having no idea of the danger that is stalking her from below.

The spider pounced right after this shot, but the happy little drone took flight never knowing just how close she came to a horrible death. The spiders went hungry that day.
