I love the 2nd shot, awesome colours! I haven't seen a monarch in person since I was a kid! I think they may actually be endangered?

Thank you! I am actually not too sure if they are endangered or not. I use to see them all the time as a child in the neighborhood (New York City), and there seems to be an abundance here in CO...in CA i hardly saw any. Something may be worth googling

I'll have to do that. I used to live just above you in south eastern Ontario, Canada.. and would see the odd one here and there. Maybe they aren't as comon more north.

You may be right, as i use to visit Lethbridge quite often (i enjoyed Calgary a ton), and i never seen one there. after some research, you were pretty much spot on, scroll down to the "threats" column. very interesting, and sad at the same time, to know where our "climate" is actually going...down the drain apparently, as its getting more unstable.

Both are nice but the second, with an even less distracting background and more of the butterfly, is even nicer. Lovely colours, too, indeed!
