Rained out of the garden this morning so off for a walk in the park. How about that I took a bird picture. Oly E-PL9 w/14-42mm
Thanks for the compliment, it was a serendipitous catch. Normally I'm out the door just before sunup and straight to work in the garden, but this morning everything was drenching wet from overnight rain. So off for a walk in the park till things dried out. I don't do birds because I don't see "long lens." I've tried over the years to use a long lens and it just doesn't work. In 2020 someone gave me a Nikon 180mm f/2.8 ED-IF (360mm equivalent on my Olympus) and in 6 years I've forced myself to use it twice because it was a gift -- sits in a drawer. On the other hand I do use my 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 21mm, 23mm, 28mm, 35mm and 40mm lenses quite a bit.Fabulous. I can't wait to look at this on a larger screen than my phone, because the reflected light looks surreal. The jutting logs, the heron's shadow seem to be swimming in a cloud.
All that, and nicely framed, too.
Go on, now, take more of those ol' bird pictures. This one looks like a stunner.
