Abbortsford Bridge

Took this shot one day when the wife went interstate to be her friends.
So I had time on my own and went here and got this one plus more of this bridge.
It was built in 1928 and is a lift span bridge.
Though today with all the locks and weirs put in the river stay at a constant level unlike the days before they were in.

Very nice. The sky is a little blown though, might want to tone down the highlights, if you are using LR.

I never even looked at that but I fully agree with your comments.
So I have went back to it and I think it has been fixed now.

Now that the highlights are lowered the halos from over-sharpening are very visible (tree branches in sky). If you are using LR drop the radius (in the sharpening box) down to the left until the halo goes away. Probably have to decrease the sharpening a bit as well to get it fixed. Any backlit edges will show this if over-sharpened.

I don't have light room but I am sure if I took longer than I do I more than likely might be able to get them correct.
But to be honest I do tend to get a little lazy and bored with it if it takes too long.
I do think I might be able to do it with photoshop with the burn tool.
But as it is now is good enough for now but thank you for your comments on this Dideraux.
Though don't give up on me over this shot.
