I'm thinking gelatin, gelato, or some kind of frozen topping. Although I don't know of any flavour that would have that particular colour (do they make scotch pine-flavoured desserts?), or that sparkly surface texture.

@pgriz was the closest, because it is indeed water. It is vapor coming out of my essential oil diffuser (color changing LED base) lit up by a narrow beam of daylight coming from the window.

Very neat. Not at all what I expected. But then, that's the art of seeing an image - sometimes the elements you choose don't fall into the conventional and confound your mind's attempts to figure it out. Thank you for the post.
