why convert??? just buy a filter and do it that way! , thats how i do it. As for this photo, i like the composition of it, but i dont know if you were going for blurry, or if that was an accident. I like the color though

Its blurry. It's not all that impressive for IR. White trees and black skies (with white clouds) are impressive. This just looks like a blurry, desaturated photo.
