Acanthosaura titiwangsaensis and mosquito

Titiwangsa horned tree lizard. She was in the middle of the road and wouldn't budge when our car approached. I got down to photograph her with a point and shoot. She didn't like it and bared her teeth at me!

Fascinating lizard!

Shots 1 & 2 stand out the most to me.

#1: I really love the textures--the street and lizard each have their own texture, which is similar yet completely different. Also, one does not see this background as often with reptiles, it's different, in a good way. I am bothered a bit by the DOF ... seems as if you could have had a sharper shot and captured the whole body if you had zoomed out or taken a few steps back.
#2: Nice closeup. The skin of it is beautifully reflective.
