okay thank you. something else i was wondering. when not using the camera i take out the battery, whats your guys rule of thumb for doing this, if its not going to be used for a few days or do you take it out basically every time you shut down.

okay, i seem to keep finding bad reviews on the canon 75-300mm EF lense. anyone familiar with the tarmrons? Looking at either of these two (whats the difference)

Well a cheap lens (L-E-N-S no "e") like that isn't meant to be spectacular. Check here, the Tamron is actually being discussed.

What about the 28-135? I know that it doesn't have a lot of reach, but does have a decent range, I don't think it's too expensive either.

all i can find is the IS version which runs around high 300$.
i ordered the 50mm 1.8 canon lens today for a total of 76$ theres no way i can regret getting it, everyone loves it.
