This is pretty cool. Here is a photo of my brother's puppy I was snapping idly over the long weekend.
Notice the seeming bit of sensor dust, etc. circled in red. I zoomed in, and it was a gnat in awesome focus that happened to be parallel to the dog's eyes where I was focusing. You can make out head, thorax, and abdomen and each wing.
