Addicted to my 50mm!!!

I haven't taken any actual, composed photos with it yet, but I am LOVING my 50mm 1.8! I can't believe how much of a difference it makes; photos are crisp and it's versatility is quite inspiring! I also feel like I'm learning a little more.


I did the classic DIY cut out filter and took a few shots of our Christmas tree. I took note of the changes in the distortion of the lights depending on the distance I was from the tree.

Can anyone suggest some other experiments I can do with the lens? I'd love to get more practice!
