I dont think they delete accounts. The best you can do is just not log in anymore. Threads are not deleted either.

Best thing to do is to change your password to the forum to something totally random, that you don't write down.. or memorize. Then you can't log in anymore. As Pixmedic states.. accounts, threads, and posts are not ever deleted by staff. Personally I would stick around.. the forum is not that bad, and there is a lot to be learned here. If you have issues with one or two members.. put them on Ignore, and don't open their posts! Boom.. irritants instantly GONE!

^^ +1 to what he said. Especially the sticking around part. It's easy to get hurt feelings, or take something personally and just leave--but before you do, ask yourself: do the things that are upsetting me about this place REALLY outweigh the good things about it? If you can honestly say that they do, then yeah...just go to "change password", close your eyes and randomly type something on the keyboard, hit enter and presto chango, you no longer have access to the account.

For me--what I have learned from this forum is *ABSOLUTELY* worth the relatively few things/people I find highly irritating. I feel like some of you are my friends--I am certain we WOULD be, IRL--and I love spending time with you here. I also think a select few of you are complete *********, but we won't talk about that. But I KNOW without a doubt, that my photography would not be anywhere near as good as it today (which is all the way to mediocre, sometimes) if it were not for the help and advice I've gotten here.
