Hello FP, Nice Bunny! After our conversation yesterday I thought I would ask, you do know about Jennings Randolph Lake on the West Virginia, Maryland border? I assume you probably do but just in case you don't it's a fabulous lake with actual paved roads to it and almost no one uses the lake. Just thought I would mention it.

.... Jennings Randolph Lake on the West Virginia, Maryland border ....

Hey Ron, Yes I've been there. First time about three years ago. It is a nice lake and surprisingly there usually isn't very many people there. However, I went there this past Sunday - which was a mistake. The weather was nice and so many others had the same idea. I saw one boat with a couple of guys fishing and everybody else was either kayaking or sking. All that activity scared away the birds. All I saw was three loons and they were skittish. But it is a nice place. Thanks for the info!

Nice pic! Just curious, is that with auto focus or did you manually focus for that pic? The reflection on the eyes is so sharp, good job either way!

Just curious, is that with auto focus....

Auto focus always, for the time being. I can't focus manually due to an ongoing eye situation with my left eye. I had a botched-up cataracts surgery back on May 2nd. It will be corrected in August hopefully so in the meantime I am totally dependent on the auto focus feature of my camera and lens. This shot was taken with a Nikon D500 & Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary. (I love this setup)

The eye looks awesome!

Actually I wanted to try something with this rabbit's eye. In the orginal image, except for the reflection, the eye looked somewhat dull. I put the image in Gimp to isolate the eye and lighten it while also increasing the contrast so as not to wash out the color. It worked so well I left it. You have to look very closely to see that the enhancement of the eye is what gives the appearance that the rabbit is so sharp. An illusion! Nevertheless, thanks to everyone for the kind comments.

GL with the eye, I had cataract surgery on both eyes and the left eye was left with a black area toward the far outside where your peripheral vision is, they call it a curtain. It took some time to get used to it. Hey, keep up the good work on the pics!
