first one is excellent; i am not happy with the composition in the second because the frame is filled with leading body which fills almost the entire frame

Sorry. To my mind, the first is not only "a bit blown out" at the sea, but "way too...", you're losing every bit of detail there and all I can see is glaring white, and the same applies to some of the clouds. Assuming this is you working with the contrast sliders, I'm sure you have different original material you started with, so the pp COULD possibly be done differently? If so, I'd try... For the composition is pleasing.

The second is not so pleasing, for I see that the sky would have given most of the drama, yet there's so little of it to be seen.

I like both, but the glare on the sea in the first photo is distracting.
