Whaaat? Shades of the ill-fated Df... The Fuji X-T1 had this sorted in 2014, along with lenses with aperture rings no less. Limited edition and limited sales through the Nikon Store(only?).

I like the all black version better. Looks like a black FM/FE to me and doesn't draw attention to itself. Much classier to me.
To bad the black version is only paired w/ the 16-50 zoom with the 40mm SE costing extra. It would be nice is they had a black Zfc + 40/f2SE + 28/f2.8SE as a kit w/o zoom...or all separately.

Fuji got it right with the "Fujicron" f/2 series and earlier faster primes--catnip that initially drew many to the system long before their zooms surfaced. Not sure what Nikon was thinking.

One thing Nikon's lenses are compact full frame Z lenses that can be used on the Zfc

I ended up putting in a pre-order the day after it was announced, I've always preferred black cameras over chrome, but the modern silver painted cameras just don't look good to me, I ordered it with the 28mm SE lens.
